Impressions of Da Nang

Mì Quảng – one of the dishes you can find anywhere in Đà Nẵng. It is a traditional dish from the central region of Vietnam and soo delicious! It was the first time I’ve tried this and I really really liked it, so I ended up having it 2 or 3 times during the 5 days I spend in Đà Nẵng. And guess what, you can get it for 25k, which is about 1 Dollar!!

This cute fruit is called Lòng Bong and looks a little bit like the Longan fruit but its taste is definitely different from Longan  (less sweet, which I prefer :)) Anyway I haven’t seen this fruit in the north of Vietnam or anywhere before!

First hour in Đà Nẵng – of course we went to the beach right away! Good thing it was just a 5-minute walk from our hotel. The beach there is awesome! Warm temperature and clear water, not too deep and not too crowded! (in the beginning of September)

If you like seafood, this is the place to be! Pick whatever you want and choose how you want to have it: cooked, grilled, steamed etc.

A 20-minute drive will take you to the Linh Ứng Pagoda. You can basically ask any taxi driver to take you there.

It’s so so beautiful and quiet there.

You can have an amazing view of the ocean from the pagoda.

Hội An (the city of lanterns) is only about 25km away from Đà Nẵng. You can rent a motorbike to go there for a day trip. It’s really pretty there and worth seeing!

We also spend a day in the Bà Nà Hills Mountain Resort. I was really surprised by its beauty! The bus fee (picking up + dropping off in front of your hotel) and entry ticket was about 36 Dollars and included the world’s longest cable car ride. The view there was breathtaking! Check out this website for more information: Ba Na Hills
